In a filing with the Securities andExchange Commission, the Kansas City-based movie theater company said that holderz of $238.1 million of the notes had agreed to proposed amendments in AMC’s offer. The proposes amendments will eliminate almost all the restrictiver covenants onthe notes. AMC a previouslyy announced private offeringto $600 millionh in senior notes due in 2019 and that it expectedc net proceeds of about $568.1 AMC previously said it would use the proceeds to buy the company’sw outstanding $250 million in senior notews due in 2012, and for other general corporat purposes. Shattuck allegedly obtained $257,000 from investorsw that was to be used to build a car wash in but misled those investorsby “falsely portraying” his personal financeds and failing to disclose a previou bankruptcy, according to Suthers’ office. Shattuck allegedly got the funds from threee investors from April toNovember 2006. Investigatorws from Suthers’ office and the Northglenn Police Department also allege Shattuckused $15,00p from a $450,000 business loan he receivedc in January 2007 to pay off personal Clark Mineral Trust LLC allegedly made the loan to a Shattuco company called Construction Specialists to develop a housinhg subdivision in Weld County called Sandstonee Ridge.
Shattuck turned himself in to authorities onJune 24. The attorney general’s office said it will prosecuted Shattuck in Adams County District Shattuck is scheduled to appear in courton Aug. 13.

The port has long tried to develop much ofthe 825-acrse strip of land along the Columbia River, hoping to add to its marinee and industrial capacity and boost regional economic development. But they’ve met resistance from environmentalists who hope to keep the island preserved as a rare habita t for a wide rangeof wildlife. The port bought the property from Portland GeneraklElectric Co. in 1994. But the land is zoned withimn Multnomah County, and must be annexed into the city beforr it canbe developed. The council voted 5-0 Thursday to approve an intergovernmenta l agreement to study options for WestHayde Island.
The process includes the formation of a communityworking group, comprised of members from the city, the port, and othe stakeholders, to undertake the study and make recommendations regarding annexation. The federal agency said Thursday that it is investigating an incident on a NorthwesfAirbus A-330 flying between Hong Kong and Tokyl on Tuesday. The aircraft landede safely in Tokyo. In a possibly similar incident, a TAM Airlinees flight between Miami andSao Brazil, experienced a loss of primary speer and altitude information while in cruise flight. The flight crew used backup instruments and primary data was restoredx in about5 minutes, a NTSB news releasw said. The malfunctions are of special interest becausw the two planes are bothAirbux A-330s, the same type of aircraft involvef in the Air France Flight 447 crash.
Automated data messagesx from the plane indicated that sensors failed shortly beforethe crash. Atlanta-based , whicyh is phasing out the Northwestg name after merging with the airlinewlast year, said it is cooperatiny with the NTSB to provide information requestesd about the Northwest flight.
